Terrell Herring, an award-winning leader in the pharmaceutical industry, finds time in his busy schedule to serve on the boards of directors for several noteworthy organizations. The Kirkwood-Brainerd Camp, a joint ministry of the Lehigh and Philadelphia Presbyteries, is one of the groups Terrell Herring has served. Kirkwood-Brainerd Camp strives to provide life-changing experiences for both youth and adults. Since 1960, Kirkwood-Brainerd Camp has been driven to impact the spiritual lives of youth and adults by providing them with a safe and serene place to connect with God. During their time at Kirkwood-Brainerd, both kids and adults experience a Christ-centered community that helps them disconnect and retreat from life’s daily stresses. In the midst of the picturesque Poconos Mountains, campers form lifelong friendships, build confidence, and learn how to steward creation. Kirkwood-Brainerd is a non-profit organization that is supported through the efforts of individuals and churches who believe in the camp’s philosophy. Depending on financial need and ability, campers can receive full scholarships, a subsidized fee, or pay full price. In addition to providing financial gifts, supporters join in the camp’s ministry by helping to maintain the grounds.
